Red Velvet Cake

WTF is the deal with Red Velvet Cake lately? Everywhere I turn it seems someone is either talking about Red Velvet Cake, eating Red Velvet Cake, looking for Red Velvet Cake, or trying to find Red Velvet Cake Ice Cream! I even have a facebook friend who posted a picture of Red Velvet Cake as his profile picture!! Come on people, give a girl a break.! Admittedly I have a box of Red Velvet Cake mix in my pantry and it taunts me every day of this horrible no sugar diet!!!
My son and I are doing really well, at last weigh in, he was down 15 pounds, and me 8 (as of 4 days ago). Why is it that males and children lose weight so much quicker that us? Grrr!! To be completely honest Red Velvet Cake has never been my favorite, don't get me wrong, I love all cake, but it has always been a take it or leave it kinda thing for me...HOWEVER...now that I can't have sugar, that Red Velvet Cake looks like the most delicious thing in the world, and I would like to be covered from head to toe in it~ thank-you-very-much! My son and I, we have planned out our day 31 of the 30 day detox. It includes pancakes and Subway for my him, Pizza for my husband (he feels a little deprived since we are detoxing, the poor thing) and me, and now we have added Red Velvet Cake for dessert! ...oh and coffee...and that piece of gum that is on my bathroom vanity that talks to me every day...
Seriously though the detox has not been too bad, it just seems like this is the way we eat now, I plan to continue with it after a splurge day. For someone who has a hard time losing weight (I seriously think I have an undiagnosed thyroid problem) this is working for me. I am exercising every other day and feeling better and better about the way I look. For me this has to be a lifestyle because I could smell a piece of Red Velvet Cake and gain back those 8 pounds right before your very eyes.
As of now...it is 6 am and my tummy has been rumbling since 4...will go make some breakfast eggs, and  pretend it tastes as good as Red Velvet Cake!
